Our new adventure in Harper has begun!
We’ve had a wonderful time this year, visiting with the old timers and welcoming the new! The wildebeests, waterbuck and red sheep added a touch of an African “safari” to our exotic and whitetail hunts this year. Common exotics – axis, blackbuck, fallow, sika – will be stocked year round, and of course whitetail hunting will continue for bow and rifle during the appropriate seasons.
Although we can hunt over 30 people at one time and sleep 22, we are trying to give each hunting party a pasture of their own and when possible, the entire ranch to themselves. So please get on our calendar early this year, and if possible come hunt axis between June and August. Also sika and fallow get into hard antlers a little before whitetail season starts, so hunting between Labor Day and November 1st would be good for them.
Our elk cow special has been a big hit – and hopefully we will be able to continue getting more in throughout 2009. If there are any other animals you would like to see added to the ranch this year, please contact us as soon as possible.
